Ebooklab plans are monthly subscriptions sold through Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. This policy explains how cancelling and refunds work. It doesn't limit any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
1. Cancel anytime
You can cancel from the Plan & credits page (Manage billing). Your plan stays active, with its credits, until the end of the month you've paid for. After that, it won't renew and you won't be charged again. Ebooks you unlocked while on a plan stay unlocked.
2. Your first payment: 7-day refund
If Ebooklab isn't right for you, you can get a full refund of your first subscription payment if you ask within 7 days of paying and have used no more than 50 of that plan's credits (about two ebooks). Writing ebooks costs us real money with AI providers, so heavier use can't be refunded, but we'll always look at problems fairly.
3. Renewals
Monthly renewals aren't refunded, because the new month's credits are available as soon as you're charged. If you forgot to cancel and haven't used any of the new month's credits, email us within 7 days of the renewal and we'll refund it.
4. When something goes wrong
- Failed AI work: if a rewrite or a new cover fails, its credits go back to your balance automatically. You don't need to ask.
- Charged by mistake, or charged twice: we'll refund it in full.
- Something we promised didn't work and we couldn't fix it: we'll refund the affected month.
5. How to ask for a refund
Email support@ebooklab.site from the address you sign in with, and tell us what happened. You can also contact Dodo Payments through the receipt they emailed you. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Dodo Payments; depending on your bank, they usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days. When a payment is refunded, the plan it paid for ends and its unused credits are removed.
6. Unused credits
Credits don't roll over between months and have no cash value, so unused credits aren't refunded on their own. See our Terms of Service for the full rules on plans and credits.
