These terms are an agreement between you and Pravesh Jha (“we”, “us”), who runs Ebooklab at www.ebooklab.site. By creating an account or using Ebooklab, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Ebooklab does
Ebooklab uses artificial intelligence to plan, write and design ebooks from your ideas. You can edit the text, change the design, and download your ebook as a PDF, EPUB or Word file.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
- Keep your Google account secure. You're responsible for everything done through your Ebooklab account.
- One person per account. Don't share accounts or create several accounts to get extra free credits.
3. Plans, credits and payment
- New accounts get 30 free credits, once. Without a plan you can create ebooks and read their first chapters; reading the rest of an ebook and downloading it require a paid plan.
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions: Starter $29 (300 credits), Pro $49 (600 credits), Business $99 (1,500 credits). Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
- Credits are used when the AI does work for you, for example 25 credits for a standard ebook and 2 for rewriting a chapter. The current prices are always shown in the app before you use credits. If a job fails, its credits are returned automatically.
- Plan credits are added at the start of each billing month and do not roll over: unused credits expire when the next month starts. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the “Plan & credits” page; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Upgrades take effect immediately and you pay the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
Dodo Payments is the seller of record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments, who is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Dodo Payments processes your payment, handles sales tax and VAT, issues invoices, and provides customer service for payment questions and returns. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments' terms. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
4. Your content
- You own your ebooks. As between you and us, the ideas you enter and the ebooks created from them (text, outlines and covers) belong to you, to the extent the law allows. You can sell, publish, share or give them away, including commercially.
- You give us permission to store, process and display your content only to run Ebooklab for you, for example to generate chapters, show your library and create your downloads. We don't use your ebooks to market our service without your permission.
- AI can produce similar text for different people, so we can't guarantee that what it writes is unique to you, or that it can be protected by copyright where you live.
5. Check before you publish
AI-written content can contain mistakes, outdated information or things that sound right but aren't. You are responsible for reviewing and editing your ebook before you publish or sell it, especially anything about health, fitness, nutrition, money, law or safety. Ebooklab does not give professional advice, and its content is not a substitute for it. You are also responsible for following the rules of the stores where you sell (for example, disclosing AI use where a store requires it).
6. What you can't do
- Create content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights, or present someone else's work as yours.
- Create deliberately false or deceptive content, spam, or content impersonating a real person or business.
- Try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, get around limits or payments, or access other people's accounts.
- Resell or give others access to your account or to the service itself.
We may refuse requests, remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. Our service
Ebooklab, its software, design and brand belong to us. We work to keep the service running well, but it may sometimes be unavailable or change. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using Ebooklab anytime, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@ebooklab.site. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law. Download any ebooks you want to keep before your account is closed.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Ebooklab is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about the accuracy of AI-written content, about sales or income from your ebooks, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect; using Ebooklab after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be handled by the courts of India, unless the consumer laws where you live give you the right to bring a claim there.
